At entry to C1 swimmers are expected to be able to:
-swim 33m legal butterfly, 66m of other strokes with legal starts and turns.
- Arrive 5 minutes before the session starts with hats and goggles on.
Cygnets 1 swimmers are expected to compete in club championships and club time trials

Swimmer / Coach Ratio not to exceed 30:1
At entry to C2 swimmers are expected to be able to:
- efficiently swim 100m frontcrawl, backstroke and breaststroke.
- Maintain legal butterfly for 33m
- use the pace clock for simple time repeats.
- Streamline and turn correctly as a matter of course
C2 swimmers are expected to compete for the club if selected for league galas, attend club championships and time trials.
C2 swimmers are expected to attend 3 sessions per week.

Club Hoodie - once the swimmer has represented the club at 5 competitions - optional
All swimmers who are chosen to represent the club at a gala MUST endeavour to make themselves available for these competitions. The Head Coach and club committee will not guarantee the squad place of a swimmer who consistently does not participate in open meets and/or club galas.
If you have been selected to compete on behalf of the club, the Gala Secretary should be informed by email / in writing if a swimmer is unable to attend as soon as it is clear that they will not be able to attend.
Coach – Garry Bunclark & Butch Knapman
Swimmer / Coach Ratio not to exceed 30:1
At entry to C3 swimmers are expected to be able to:
- be competent in all 4 strokes
- be comfortable working to simple timed repeats using the clock
- have knowledge of lane discipline
- complete 4x200m freestyle off of 5minutes and 10x100 freestyle off of 3minutes.
C3 swimmers are expected to attend 4 sessions each week.
C3 swimmers are expected to be self motivated and keen to compete. They should understand that in order to progress to Junior squad and above, a commitment to hard work and to attend training consistently is required.
C3 swimmers are expected to represent the team when selected. They should also start to attend low level Open meets and novice galas in order to gain race experience with an aim to working towards Kent qualification.
